Passport renewed + sent

Been to London with our daughter on a train to renew her Japanese passport.  We've spent more than 10hrs in the train but I'd rather do that than stay overnight there.

The train was cancelled from Birmingham and we were a bit late to arrive to the embassy, but they've accepted our application so we were able to receive the new passport by that afternoon.

With her new passport ready, I've sent off all 4 passports to NZ Immigration in London.  Our case officer expects visas to be issued within about a week or so.  It seems they are less busy than usual.

I'm a bit worried about the postal system in the UK.  We usually use special delivery service which is supposed to be one of the securest ways to send important documents.  But what if they lose our passports???  イギリスだからありそうで怖い（考えないようにしよう）。
